Dr.Vishnukumar S, is currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Applications, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kochi. He received B.Tech. in Information Technology, M.Tech. in Computer Science with specialization in Digital Image Computing and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Kerala. He had qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and he is the recipient of UGC Research fellowship. He is a senior member of IEEE and Life member of Institution of Engineers (IE), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Computer Society of India (CSI) and International association of Engineers (IAENG). He is currently volunteering as the Chair of Web Coordination Team and Conference Activity Board Member of IEEE Kerala Section. He has also volunteered as Chair and Vice Chair of IEEE Computer Society Kerala Chapter. He has served Computer Society of India Trivandrum Chapter in various capacities as Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. He was the Executive Committee Member of Kerala State IT Mission, Department of Information Technology, Government of Kerala. He is serving as Member, Board of Studies and Expert Committees in various Universities. He has been a resource person in many technical workshops and conferences. He has published numerous research papers in peer reviewed International Journals and Conferences. He is a reviewer of many reputed International Journals and is serving as programme committee member in International Conferences. He has completed and is currently working on numerous research projects under research grants from various government agencies. His area of interest include Digital image Processing, Data Analytics, Fuzzy Techniques, Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
