Course Description

The University established the Department Of Computer Applications to facilitate research and human resources development in the subject. The Department offers research programme leading to Ph.D

Thrust Area of Research

Multimedia is a robust education and research methodology within the social work context. The five different multimedia which supports the education process are narrative media, interactive media, communicative media, adaptive media, and productive media.

Simulation & modelling

Modeling and simulation (M&S) is the use of models – physical, mathematical, or otherwise logical representation of a system, entity, phenomenon, or process – as a basis for simulations – methods for implementing a model (either statically or) over time – to develop data as a basis for managerial or technical decision making. M&S supports analysis, experimentation, and training. As such, M&S can facilitate understanding a system's behavior without actually testing the system in the real world

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) is intelligence exhibited by machines. In computer science, the field of AI research defines itself as the study of "intelligent agents": any device that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chance of success at some goal. Colloquially, the term "artificial intelligence" is applied when a machine mimics "cognitive" functions that humans associate with other human minds, such as "learning" and "problem solving"

Image Processing

digital image processing is the use of a digital computer to process digital images through an algorithm. ... It allows a much wider range of algorithms to be applied to the input data and can avoid problems such as the build-up of noise and distortion during processing

Graph Theory

Graph theory is a very natural and powerful tool in combinatorial operations research. Some important OR problems that can be solved using graphs are given here. A network called transport network where a graph is used to model the transportation of commodity from one place to another.

cryptography is about constructing and analyzing protocols that prevent third parties or the public from reading private messages; various aspects in information security such as data confidentiality, data integrity, authentication, and non-repudiation are central to modern cryptography

Data Mining

Data mining is an interdisciplinary subfield of computer science and statistics with an overall goal to extract information (with intelligent methods) from a data set and transform the information into a comprehensible structure for further use.

Language Computing

Language Computing is a subfield of linguistics, computer science, information engineering, and artificial intelligence concerned with the interactions between computers and human (natural) languages, in particular how to program computers to process and analyze large amounts of natural language data.

Fluid Mechanics

Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a branch of fluid mechanics that uses numerical analysis and data structures to analyze and solve problems that involve fluid flows. ... With high-speed supercomputers, better solutions can be achieved, and are often required to solve the largest and most complex problems.
